On to introductions...
I graduated from the Rhode Island School of design with a BFA in illustration (though most of my time there was spent in the printmaking department). I illustrated children's material from '95 to '08, then traded my brushes for a stylus and jumped head first into gaming illustration. The knock on my head rattled loose something sinister trapped inside, and I've been happily painting evil things for Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, and Sony Online Entertainment ever since.
Nice! Way to kick things off, Craig :) Great samples, tough pieces to follow. I'll be posting my intro in a few days. I almost forgot how nice that Eowyn/Nazgul piece is...... almost.. heh
ReplyDeleteNo pun intended but fantastic stuff here! That shoggoth--I am presuming it is a shoggoth, Craig--is truly epic.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what's coming up next.
Thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to seeing what the others post too.
ReplyDelete(Yep, it's a shoggoth... well, a loose interpretation anyway. Done for the ArtOrder "Lovecraft Creature Lab" challenge).
Sigh, you had to put your best foot forward with that LotR piece, didn't you? ;) Thanks for setting this all up, Craig. Nice to be on a blog again and really awesome to see everyone's work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam! Each intro so far has at least five images, perhaps posting only two was a bit frugal. So, I added a few more.
ReplyDeleteA little late to the party, but I'm looking forward to adding this blog to my morning routine. I recognize the Animal Master and Order Adept images because they were in the same article as my first WOTC job! Also love the Eowyn/Nazgul. Great comp. Looking forward to looking at cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks RC! I remember seeing your work in that article, good stuff! The Alchemist turned out great, I really like the globes above his head.
